Martial - Industrial - Apocalyptic - Noise

At this very moment, I'm listening to covers of Der Blutharsch songs from the "Fire Danger Season" box set.

How about you?

I don't get to listen to music much, as I have a four year old daughter and I somehow don't feel comfortable subjecting her to my catalog, but I've been obsessed with Death in June's latest offering, as well as Arghoslent's "Hornets of the Pogrom" and anything by Arditi.
I must admit that I really enjoy the stuff from Life's Decay as well--if I ever get the geld I'll have to buy some of their albums.

I'll have to check them out--Funeral Mist as well. Unfortunately, if it's not on iTunes (which Arghoslent oddly is) I probably won't get around to it any time soon.

How's life in Sweden? I teach at a local university, and I've had a number of Scandinavian students--frightening how much better their English is than that of the average American... no wonder we're plunging into the abyss.

I completely agree about the new Inade. It's almost "melodic" compared to much of their earlier stuff.

I'm really not much of a Blackmetal fan though, so I'm not familiar with Funeral Mist.

Loved "The rule of thirds" too. You know, I wouldn't be surprised if he turned up at the NoN show in NewYork.

I'm not familiar with "Arghoslent" though. What kind of stuff do they do?

You probably wouldn't care for Arghoslent--they're death metal, although somewhat distinguished for being more melodic than their peers. The other distinction is that they are, as they say, "pro-white."
I would love to see any of these bands, but alas Honolulu is a cultural desert, unless you like reggae or Hawaiian music--two genres I never acquired a taste for...

I've got "Caste War" but I don't recall being particularly fond of it. Maybe I'll have to give it another listen. (alot like old whitehouse isn't it?)

Hey, what's their fixation with cassettes?,....in the 21st century no less! :)

That does sound pretty decent.

Do you folks still get cassettes in Europe sometimes? I haven't seen them here in many years.

Anyone heard the new Tony Wakeford?

Sol Invictus is some excellent stuff. I only have one album ("Lex Talionis") but that says more about record stores out here...

Yeah, Sol has always been great.

Tony's been doing quite a bit of solo and joint ventures with other artists lately, much of which has been totally decent.

Just released one called "not all of me will die" which I haven't heard yet.

I'll keep my eye open for that, thanks!

As for me, Krepulec - New Radical
